I'm from Brazil and a lover of Greek culture, especially when is about the language and the music.

What type of laouto is this?

  • Reply Kristin Jacobsen July 20, 2019 at 1:32 pm

    Very nicely played lauto!
I am a Norwegian woman who lived in Greece many years ago and got to know greek music and songs. I have studied music and play a lot (flute, piano, guitar) .
On my last visit to Crete I bought a lovely lautaki in Rethymnon. I play this on a very basic level. and want to learn more. But where can I find lessons on the net? books with chords etc?
Anyone who can help me – recommend a website or anything?

Thank you for upload this wonderful music, love the laouto sound !!! 😀

…but I notice some errors (mislabeling) on the tracklist: the "Thessaliki patinada tou gamou" is the track 5 (not the 6), and the "Argitiko kalamatiano" is the track 2 (not the 5). So, can you (or someone) help me to correct the titles of the tunes?

    Cheers from Chile! 🙂
