Does anyone know all the songs from the Amiga Medley? I only reckognised the Monkey Island Opening Theme right at the beginning. (I wasn't even aware that this great game already existed for Amiga.)

Although not featured in this great concert, the Michael Giacchino score to Medal of Honor: Frontline is one of the best, stimulating and emotional soundtracks ever composed. Just wanted to say that. Now back to this recording.

I never got into The Last of Us as much as others did. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly nothing short of a great piece of work, but I found the gameplay to be fairly average and the story had a few areas that just seemed stupid during.

That, however, is not to say that it didn't have several emotional moments that truly, truly gripped me in the moment. I only had to go through Joel and Ellie in the farmhouse scene once and I could recite every word. That is pure art in game form, that should be the only argument needed against the asinine "games aren't art" spiel.

To boot, "All Gone, No Escape" as well as others in the soundtrack are true gems of the gaming industry's musical scope. Emotion pours out of that song, like a goddamn river.

14:55 I'm sorry, nothing has ever been more pointless than the orchestral music from Black Flag. No one was playing that game to listen to instruments, we were all playing it to rock out to sea shanties.

  • Reply Jansen Art May 6, 2019 at 8:55 pm

    Starts at 5:45
