Hi, I’m Scott Smith here with Expert Village.
Right now we’re going to talk about a section of the orchestra that I have left out. That
would be horns that would be woodwinds and brass section. Among all the horns that are
available to us the saxophone reigns supreme with regards to rock n’ roll. So here’s one
of the sounds that I can use.
That’s an alto sax. Combined with other horns we get a more full sound. Oops. Combining that with a full band and a full
orchestra or anything that you really want…you have to remember one thing. That everything
that we do today, every single note and every pattern that we’ve ever played or are going
to play has been done before in one form or another. This is the connection between classical
music and what we play today. Whether we’re playing rock n’ roll, jazz, Latin it all stems
from the classic music that was played back in the 14, 15, 16, 1700’s and the 1800’s.
We own them all of our thanks and I thank you too, for listening.
